What RWI chip and what Firmware chip does it have?

CTRL V6.20
RWI V5.06

Thats very old Firmware and RWI. The latest BG808s firmware is 7.61 and RWI is 5.10. I would suggest 7.61 Firmware and at least 5.09 RWI or Decibel has Cine 8 Firmware. No matter which of the two options you choose you may need more than one control board as not all control boards work with the later chips even though they have the same part number. I have a box full of control boards and had to go through several before I found one that would work correctly. If you find that the board won't work try an older RWI chip with what ever Firmware chip you use but not too old a couple of versions different doesn't seem to matter but it may make the board work.

He has about three spare control boards, all of them have an even older firmware and RWI though.

PM Decibel ask for his firmware chips. There is no telling which control board will work you just have to try. You can't do anything without the chips.

Honestly, how big is the difference between an ABL removed 75MHz path and between the "120MHz" path regarding bandwidth, as I've read the yield is subtle..

Well you are talking 60 v 80MHZ chip. I believe the 120MHZ board has fewer issues.
