"Perhaps the best way would be for someone to help you. You need access to the under side of the Frame between the Quad and EHT and its difficult to get to. As Decibel says you could modify the EHT but this is more complex. Is there anyone close to you that understands a little about circuit diagrams?[/quote] "
Hi....I can pull the entire motherboard, just show me where I have to solder. I try to read the same schema or ask someone for a favor.

I have attached a section of the BG808s manual for the frame. If you look at the section called Schematic. In the lower left corner you will see the EHT socket and the Quadrupler attachment point. Locate the two connections between the the EHT and Quad attachment points labeled R761743 and R762717 which are connected to the DHV from the Quadrupler. Each of those two R76XXX represents the two jumpers. One will be set and the other will be empty. You need to disconnect the one that is connected removing the jumper and connect the one that is not connected by soldering in a jumper.

Many thanks indeed km987654. You may have just made my Christmas!! Not only helping johnyfazer but me also. I now can see the schematic for all the deflection switches - which is just what I was after in another thread. Maybe now I can narrow down which of the switches is causing me trouble.
A happy Christmas to everyone!

As most of us speak English there is a bit of a language barrier that is making this harder than it would be if we all spoke English. Wondering if I can ask a few further questions that might help everyone involved?
Can you run the 808 without the convergence tray as you can with the 500/800 series?
If so that machine would seem like a good place to start fault finding. You could at least check all the voltages on the Power Supply (set the 17 volt pot also) and make sure all other red LEDs on the machine were off. Then use the cross reference spreadsheets to see which EHTs and Quads you could test on that machine. Start with the quads first I would think.
Is it safe to say you can try any splitter or quad in any Barco - if only briefly? Or must you adhere strictly to this document: http://www.curtpalme.com/docs/BarcoServiceBulletin_R762716_New_EHT.pdf
It seems that regardless of the above document splitters and quads seem like the most interchangeable parts so surely we only need one working machine to test them. Please advise me if I'm wrong.

Splitters from what I can see can be used from almost any 800 or better series set without issue.
You would need to adhere to the chart for the EHT Quad combinations.
You can operate an 808 with the convergence tray pulled for testing purposes.

It works again . The operation one of three completed successfully completed. I fixed the old type of motherboard - short plug and blow the tracks. I fixed the convergence board outputs - replace the two resistors fuse and transistors NPN and PNP, replace one resistor ceramic - enabled the convergence work left to right on a red light settings. Remained the second complete projector that can fix it. I have a spare old quad and EHT to jumper. It is a pity to strip it for parts, it is better to fix it. Thank you all for your help. First of all, that dissuade me from buying mitsubishi 1281E. Barco repair cost is 90 euros. Again, I'm happy )))

Sounds like you've been hard at work. Well done!
Though you could have picked a more wholesome screenshot.
Did you take the motherboard out completely or did you just turn the projector over?

The photograph was made on weak phone quickly just to Demonstrate That it works . The picture settings are not yet Carried out. . You need to pull the motherboard. A lot of work. Unscrew the rear wall . Disconnection all cables and plugs inside. Disconnection screws on the sides. EJECTING a disc full back. You can not do anything if the motherboard is mounted on the projector. From the bottom is obstructed by a large aluminum plate which is impossible to unscrew and remove the.

Thanks Johny. I needed to know how it's done as I think it's the only way I'm gonna be able to test my scan switches properly.
