TV/Projector: BARCO GRAPHICS 808 BARCO GRAPHICS 801

Can anyone tell me what would cause my Barcographics 808 to focus drift on the green gun?
To get it back I have to physically re-focus the lens
I have many times set up everything on the projector last thing at night, only to find the following day the green has drifted
Many thanks in advance

Unless the screen moves or the projector moves or the lens is moved by someone else - I can't see anyway this can happen.

I think you need to get the focus correct on your green lens and then start looking elsewhere for the problem.

If you're setting up your projector last thing at night then presumably it's been on a couple of hours. The projector will be at full operating temperature. When you turn it on again, the next day, it will be cold and specifically if the projector is near the end of it's life the settings could be considerably different. To test the theory, once you've done a full setup - leave it. Then, next time, make sure you've had the projector on the same length of time to see if the problem goes away when the projector warms up.

TV/Projector: All of them!

I agree with Cosaw. I have only had this complaint once, many years ago, on a Sony G70 that I sold into Europe. Many emails and fuzzy pictures later, I (and everyone at avsforum) gave up, as we could never see what the problem was.

If you need to readjust your lens focus, and not the electronic in the menus, then you have an optical focus issue. Is there any chance that the HD8 lens base is cracked? I've seen that happen in transit before, that the lens takes a hit, and is now only hanging by 3 (or less) bolts. That would certainly cause lens focus shift.

All three lenses are identical, so you can swap them between tubes to narrow the problem down. if the bolts on the tube is loose, bolting the lens to the frame, that can also cause shifting.
