Hello all,
I need some advice. I am moving house and need to move my ceiling mounted Marquee 9500 ultra. How should I do it? should i remove lenses? how? is there any online instruction sheet i should see?

I am in a rush and any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi,

I would remove lenses, tubes, HDM, FGM, LVPS and HVPS. Maybe the rear heat sink, VIM and CLM too. By this You get a lightweight chassis which can be lowered by two people easily. And You may give it a cleaning service too. Make photos of all connectors that You unplug during this process. This will make reassembly much easier. Reassembly may be done on the ceiling too.
Of course You will loose the mechanical tube adjustment, but You would have to redo this anyway.

Regards,

If youre going to the trouble of removing the tubes, Pack them in their own box each with no lenses, this way if the are dropped, they are going to be alot lighter and stand less chance of internal damage. 1 tube to one box. Plenty of soft materials around them.

you will need english size inbussleutels to remove the lenses.

and you will need to remove the thick aluminum plate that holds the three tubes in order to get the tubes out.

In England we know those tools as Allen Keys or these days people also call them Hex Keys too.

Depending on how deep the "Allen Bolts/Hex Bolts" are, you may need "T handle" ones to get past the length of the lens: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=T+handle+allen+keys&hl=en-GB&gbv=2&prmd=ivns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=sNxkVPzPDI_g7QaRy4G4Bw&ved=0CAUQ_AU

I don't know if the T handle ones will be necessary or not but someone with an Electrohome will know. Also knowing the size of Bolts would be useful and then you may be able to purchase one tool. Anybody?
