|
|
The G70 is mounted on the ceiling.
The red tube has a bubble in it that's reflecting a mirror image under the screen I would like to get rid of.
Can I add glycol without removing the tube?
Thanks!

Yes, but then you'd have to unmount the whole projector from the ceiling...
Maybe adding masking tapes just like the ones used on the XG LCs would help to solve the problem without pain.

That green has a little wear on it, gjaky.
Yeah, no way to do it without A) removing the tube from the projector, or B) removing the projector for the ceiling.

It's not my merit. The picture was posted originally by SpankyHam, I should have noted...

No, you can't. Take the tube out.

Thanks,
If I could do it without taking the tube out by unmounting it from the ceiling...
Why can't I do it with it still mounted to the ceiling? One syringe takes air out, the other puts glycol in?

Do it at your own risk. The tube needs to partially come out to access the glycol chamber, and I personally wouldn't risk snapping the neck while the tube is partially out of the set.

Not to mention, you can remove a tube from a G70 in less than 10 minutes.

If the tube has to partially come out that defeats the purpose I was going for - not having to re-converge.
Thanks again.

You shouldn't have to reconverge even if you pull the tube. You will have to touch it up, but that's it.

Now there is a pic I haven't seen for a long time. I bought that off of ebay from a seller who misrepresented the pj. Back then ebay didn't give me the time of day. Now I could probably get a refund, keep the pj and ebay would throw in a Lamborghini for my troubles.
