The knobs on the lenses should be on the same side as the cover whether it is table or ceiling mounted. If is not that way then for some reason someone put the lenses on that way. It should still work fine the way it is though. That should not matter.
You can download the 3600/4600 user/install manual from this site and the setup should be almost the same. It shows you in there how to flip the cards in the projector to change the image for your setup. If you get stuck just ask.

will do! and yeah it was really weird because the case is right side up in the sense that the ampro badge on the exterior is the right way up, but the internals are all reversed (on the inside)
I'm assuming that whoever initially installed this projector swapped them so that the case would "look" correct for when it was on the ceiling. I see no other logical explanation for the gaff

also i'm running 1280x720, it's a sharp image but i'd really love 1366x720 or something equivalent so that certain windows fit full screen
is that just not gonna resolve? or is there a way to get that working?

wow! it only took all afternoon but I focused the thing and it looks great!
The resolution is totally passable for most videos, but I'd still love to know if there was a way to pump a bit more resolution out of it

ok, so I set the resolution to 1920x1080 but the computer instinctively sets it to 1080x60p which the 2600hd obviously can't do.
how do i get it to set 1920x1080x30p?

You must have the D version. The G version would except it.

No, it will still do up to 1024x768p. But you should try 1080i like jeremy said. You have to see if you video card has that option. If not there are other alternatives but I'll let Jeremy explain them to you.

haha thanks guys! I'm sure if I use a blu ray or video game console it'd get there, but I'm running outta ideas for 1080i from my laptop. I'm not a novice computer user either so it's weird. definitely new to crts though lol
