any ideas to fix it. I can try to make a video of it if anyone thinks it will help but basically i turn the pj on and the fans kick on right away and about 5 to ten seconds later the red tube lights up and projects a full red screen for about 2 to 5 seconds. after that the red tube shuts off and then all tubes fire up in another 5 seconds or so.
it really isnt that big of a deal just would like to fix it.

Do you turn on the machine with a source connected or nothing else turned on?

The source is on and connected every time I start it. The pj locks to the signal as soon as it can

If your only symptom is bright red on startup then normal, I would just not worry about it.
