Can you put Scheimpflug adjustment on an BD801s ? I see the Scheimpflug lens mounting brackets for the 808 for sale as a conversion. Can it be done? What's needed?

Does it really matter? I mean it's an ES set, not very sharp right from the start, plus it lacks corner focus and dynamic astigmatism adjustments.

Does it matter? Since it lacks corner focus and Scheimpflug is for the corner focus you answered your own question.
But thanks for the encouragement!

Scheimpflug is NOT corner focus, it helps to BALANCE optical corner focus.
Scheimpflug will give little aid if the picture is already drawn defocused on the tube face...
Have you tested if your focus issue is really caused by the lack of scheimpflug? Remember you can immitate scheimpflug with simply the focus knobs on the lenses, it just may not cover all corners at the same time without it.
BTW you can put spacers under the lens bolts

There isn't any reason that it can't be done lets face it most things can be done if you really want to. You would want to do your homework on what parts you would need.
Would you want to do it?
ES sets focus very well when tubes are new but gradually the focus get worse as the tubes age. Scheimpflug would help you with a more even focus across the screen but the benefit may well be lost as the tubes age.
Advice
If you like a project and you want to do it because you can then go ahead. If you want a sharper image buy a BG808s.

BG 801s has scheimpflug from factory. if you dont have them then its a data not graphics.

Thank you rawshark! I have both the Data and Graphics 801s and your correct the Graphics already has scheimpflug on it, I totally missed it as I've never set it up because the Data set only has a few hours on it and the Graphics is just a test chassis sitting on a shelf in the garage so I'm gonna see it I can swap it over or swap the cleaner tubes over.
As for the 808, I have a BG808s but it needs a SMPS but I just might have sourced one today.
I corrected the title to BD801s.

What is the SMPS part number in either of the 801 units. You are looking for a number like R76XXXX. Its possible that they would work in the BG808s

It does work but the filament voltage is wrong so the tubes are dim.

There is a simple mod for that. Search this site.
