Anyways, anyone have some info or other advice on this projector? Thanks.

Posting working sets here is actually against the site rules because it's what amounts to an advertisement. I think Curt's relaxed on that a little on the lower-value sets, so you might be OK in that regard.
I think the thread at AVS pretty much covered it. Not much else to know, but I'll give you the low-down from the point of view of a former G70 owner who switched to digital two years ago.
It's sad, but the reality is the G70's value really tumbled a few years ago. If you can find a local buyer, you might be able to get a couple hundred bucks each for them. If they're in good working order with solid tubes, maybe a little more.
The problem is that the only people left to buy CRT projectors are a few CRT enthusiasts, and CRT enthusiasts care very much about the condition of the machine, how good the tubes are, and what they have with them. The other problem is they're also typically a pretty cheap bunch when it comes to anything but the high-end 9-inch machines. I don't mean that as an insult, btw - I was one of them myself.
Your machine with good tubes... Even if it's got some light wear on it, it might be worth $300 if you can find right buyer. The one with phosphor flaked off on the green tube, means magenta spots in light images. That one's probably worth a little less. But, you have to find a buyer - or two - which isn't exactly easy.
The one on ebay that sold for $400 - that one was extremely low hours - 350 or so - had an HDMI Moome card plus a boatload of spare parts and accessories. That confirms my $200-300 ballpark target, I'd say.
If you want rid of them, put them on Craigslist for $200/ea or $300 for both, and you'll find somebody that wants to experiment, maybe with a stack, that will be willing to go to the effort and expense to pick them up.
That's my opinion.
What did you switch to?
Cheers,
SC

I haven't switched yet, still using one of the G70s but I have a free BenQ W1070 coming my way to tie me over for a little bit. It's actually pretty good considering the price of it(even though I'm getting it for free). I have already seen it in action and I was impressed by it, again, considering the price of it.
A couple hundred bucks for each G70s? Sounds like I shouldn't even waste my time with the hassle of it all. I'll either just stick them in a closet somewhere or throw them away. Such a shame.
Thanks for the info ecrabb.

What would be a shame is recycling them or even worse, putting them in a dumpster or something.
It isn't that they don't have any value; it's that just like it's a hassle for you, it's also a hassle for anybody who would buy them. It's a commitment of time, gas, energy, storage, etc. Not many people are up for that anymore, so the market is small and prices low.
Just remember: It's going to be just as much hassle to dispose of them in any responsible way as it would be to sell them to another interested party. If you want to keep them, that's fine, but please don't just toss them.
I'm going through a similar thing right now with some of my old stuff. I'm paring down at the moment, and I have to just keep reminding myself that selling something really cheap or even giving it away to somebody who might use it is way better than just tossing or recycling it.

I will be installing a g70 in the next few weeks on the other side of my basement. It will be used for the nieces and nephews for gaming and movies. It is far better than anything I could find for the money. I loved my g70 and if I wouldn't have gotten my G90 for such a steal I would still be using it. Reliable and bright, damn nice image after Craig got done with it.

If you want to dump them, then my recommendation is to part them out. There not worth much, but it is pretty easy to ship boards.
