The PJ will not run if any VDM or HDM cables are removed.

Also NEVER remove a VDM or HDM while the PJ is running!! it can cause a deflection burn on the tubes.

Some VDM's will buzz. I never had one but some times gluing the Capacitors together with hot glue will lower the buzz.

Have you looked on the front LED's from the LVPS to see if any are lit while its powered up?

Yes, I've removed the cables with the wit the PJ shut off, only to hear if there was any modification to the buzz, and looks like it came from the VDM (anyway, it's weird as I've never heard any high pitch noise before)

I've not looked at front LED on LVPS, this evening I will; BTW, this same evening I will take a working CLM from a friend and so I will be able to determine if the CLM failed...

Thanks, carmine

Update:
looks like all problems with my Marquee came from a defective CLM daughter board; I switched my DPB with a working one and now everything is fine: now the projector works normally and the faint horizontal lines are gone.
The board come from an old 8000 so I still need an upgraded one for my 9500 Ultra, but, for the while I'm ok.
Thanks to everyone for the help...

Yes, but I won't be back until next week (still in South East Asia) and after that week I will have to go again for another three weeks. So, if anything was to be arranged, it should be next week or after July 20th...
