EXACTLY!!!!!
Nashou |
You do know that e homes have a feature on the color correction board to work with a blend setup where it allows you to adjust the contrast at the sides

Barco has an SEMU board for precisely this to blend two or four projectors. The SEMU board does all the adjustments in the blend zone including Gamma, geometry, size, keystone, bow and others.

Just about everyone has said that doing a blend is crazy and now Nash is joining in. I know Craig discourages any of his customers from considering it. Scott told me what a pain in the a$$ it is. IIRC he and some others spent days getting a blend ready for a demo and that was with digitals. |
Spanky,
He's not really concerned with how good it will look; he's more into the "cool" factor. He thought the digital blend was cool even though one side of the image was way off. Blending is an interesting technology the easily captivates and some people are more interested in the journey (tweaking their projectors) than the end result (getting the best possible image) and Big E falls into the former category.

No, I don't think Nash knows this
You need to go back and read his blend thread instead of reviving old threads. That will keep you plenty busy

Will do (and have read it before )
I have thought of doing a stack but the blend looks cooler
The blend I did with the digitals wasn't bad the only reason one side looked bad was I used two different make and model projectors(not a good idea)
Anyway it will be after I get my car finshed before I start on the blend(yaa fun)
I will try it sometime using a computer to do the blend(same as I did with the digitals)

In a blend with two projectors I understand that you use all of the phosphor right. That would project a 16:9 aspect or similar ratio image? So does that mean you can't project a 4:3 image on a blend? or does that use half (or about half) of each projectors tube phosphor? in effect the reverse to a degree of a stand alone projector.

Blending will accomodate 16:9 no problem
