Thanks.

So you modded all the boards needed incl. the HDMI mod on the Port3 Card ?

How about import duties when the boards come back ?

Yeah, unfortunately I'm still a spare neckboard short from solving the mystery.

To see a shot of the bandwidth performance with 1080P 50hz, to see if the vertical lines still role off, And prefered a closeup like MP usualy do, so its possible to see peaking and other funny behaviors.

Its also important its someone who have the right testpattern where the vertical and horisontal lines have the same level from the source.

There is some problems posting old pictures like this taken out of the thread they were original posted in when all the details about the pictures dont go along.

The first picture was a hole different pattern where the horisontal and vertical lines did not have the same level in the native test pattern, and it looks like there is quite some peaking addet in the projector.

Quote from Case::::

Different pattern to mine Nash, mine doesnt have the lines at the same brightness. I see what youre saying and i know that, but no. Not the case here with that pattern. If you can get me a different pattern i can use that, but im away from home at the moment. The chances of my machine resolving it fully when it doesnt work as it should are very very slim.

Also the image seen in the pic is very blury compared to what is seen on screen, and i dont have a tripod or camera to take sharp images.

Are you claiming i doctored the images here or what? Did you quote the above passage from the correct time or from another time? I notice reference there to my projector not working correctly, which i cant remember if i had replaced the quad prior to that bottom pic or not.

Im not claiming anything, its just imposible for me to know whats up and down with your pictures, the first one have poor poor bandwidth, and heavy peaking, the 2nd look strange like the 1:1 vertical is peaking, and the 2:2 resolution dont.. Never seen that before.

And you dont explain how or why it looks the way it do. Resolution/ pixel clock, source used, all thats relevant to a shot like that..

The one day you use the wrong pattern, and the other pics look like the same pattern, so just wonder whats what.

Can you try take a closeup, where its possible to see how the peaking look like on close range.?

Others asked you to tell how you made it look like that, so they can try reproduce it on another 909.

Im just curious to get some detailed pictures with the right information, and see if or how its possible to boost the performance of the 909, so that i can try it out if i ever get my hands on one.

I have 3 Marquee projectors, think i know its limitations and strong sides, and just bought a G90 and will with time find out what it can do, i like to do the same with a 909, untill then i just have to look what you guys come up with, but i need some more info for it to mean something.

Ohh and please upload the pattern so the rest of us can use that one to, so we at least all have that as a reference.

Or use the one from the HD Basic blu ray.

Its bone stock standard 1920x1080p at 60 Hz timings. No friging around with it, just plain and simple as it sits. RGB straight from the PC using 5 lengths of quad shield RG6. What more info can i give you?

That pattern i used was posted up on here a couple years ago by ECrabb. If you want it that badly youll find it.

I work two jobs, so i dont have alot of time for setting up test patterns and taking pictures, especially when ive allready done it all. Im not sure why you would be so obsessed to want to buy a different machine just to see what it can do against another, but youve clearly got more time to devote to it than i do.

Why is it you reply to my request, just to tell you dont have time ? I just dont understand how that works.

Take your time, focus on your jobs, and let the other guys reply my request if they want and have time.

Guys, please stop. This doesn't contribute to the topic.
I'll post pictures when all is running and adjusted like it should.

Okay just got the modified RGB amps from Greg back. Unfortunate I don't see any improvement's on BW as in 1:1 uniformity.
IMHO the best way to go is 1080p@60hz with the modified boards and peaking on high scanning that'll give you the best uniformity on 1:1.
I have to do some more work on alignment and some more break in on the tubes to get the best focus. Then I will do convergence etc. etc. and will show some pictures.

Hi Francisco.

As owner of cine9.. I'm little disappointed with your result in modified neck card. Crying or Very sad
If There is no improvement in bandwidth, what is the modification for?
Did you see clearer background in picture?

Thank you for sharing your experience. Very Happy

When i'm ready with all alignments convergence etc. I'll swap neck cards back and forth to see what differences are.
I'm only talking here about neck cards modifications. As the modified board set (driver switcher port3 etc.) will give improvements for sure.

Try putting one modded on red and one stock on green or vice versa, they should be pretty equal

Might be a idea to test the source/ DA converter first, make sure it has higher bandwidth then needet.

The neckboard wont do any better than the signal you feed it.

What is the source and DA converter in this test setup.?

I think i surgested this before, but ill try again.. Turn down your framerate or resolution untill you get a perfect 1:1

On the HD Basic disc there is a 720P SMPTE pattern, running that at 60 hz will be around 74Mhz.. Try that before you play around with 1080P signals

Source Dune HD Max > Crystalio vp-3300 > Eisemann HDMI input card.
Cable from Audioquest high speed.

Will try that tonight.
