The Mac has no vga output anymore. Perhaps there is some box for that?
The HDF2 does not work either power to low or sync needs T piece or both and I have neither. I am glad it was very cheap

In the meantime I think I fixed the remote hatch. Perhaps a nice tip to use velcro.

I can't get the hdfury2 to work not even with negative sync so I guess I need the power adapter but instead I will try this apple VGA cable first because I read that even Soleboy had a Moome box so we can't rule Moome out yet.
I also wonder if this VGA cable might have better bandwith?

Generally apple does not do real bad implementations but they might nog have optimised the way moome did. But than again on port 5 might be an improvement. I think it should be possible to work with very short bnc cables. If I can find some displayport extension cable.

It really contains firmware and dacs. They made it very small.

I don't know how Apple is doing nowadays, but this is looking quite similar (don't be foolded by the different input connector)

If so this should be in it:
No HDCP of course, and this fits right in Apple's policy.

Why are we working with Moome or HDFury products?

I can not get the Barco to vertical sync. I tried several normal resolutions with positive and negative sync. In the barco menu I tried fast and slow sync and clamping options but it keeps vertical scrolling.
The only thing it syncs to is a windows pc.

No idea there, mine syncs to most things, although not as much as my XG will.

Maybe the mac forces sync on green, or composite sync which is not supported on that input of the barco?

The CineMAX supports both as far as i know, mine works fine with composite sync.

I tried both pressing 4 and 5 on the remote. No sync.
I am going to try a T-piece to combine the sync because in a doc about the hdfury 2 they say to try that.

The image rolls, is unstable, or doesn't always lock on. What do I do?
Some displays such as early Electrohome ECP and Barco CRT projectors have fussy sync circuitry. You need to combine the H/V sync lines using a $2 BNC T-connector (see picture in last question). You could also use an Extron 109 or 202 box to combine the two sync lines.

http://www.hdfury.com/docs/HDfury2manual.pdf
I am also looking for a power adapter for the hdfury 2. Would this one be allright? Do I have to change polarity?
http://www.okaphone.com/artikel.asp?id=461987
| Quote: |
What sort of power supply does the HDfury2 use?
The HDfury2 power supply adheres to these requirements:
- Provides REGULATED (+/- 5%) 5VDC power with 500mA min DC current
- Delivers the power through a small 0.65mm diameter center pin / 2.6mm outer diameter DC plug (like the one often used in cellular phone AC adaptor)
- Provides the correct polarity with 'plus' on the OUTER part of the plug and 'minus' (ground) on the small center pin of the DC jack.
Trying to use an AC/DC adaptor that doesn't adhere to these three requirements may destroy the HDfury2.

Use an iphone charger if you like, just get the right cable.

Ok I have the right charger connected to the HDF2 and guess what it works!!!!
But the 'streaking' is also there with the HDF2. So it is not caused by the Moome implementation. I guess we can conclude that the different gamma setting for all these devices got us confused but it is most likely the SMPS or some other hardware like Soleboy said.

But I also got a T-connector and the Apple VGA cable worked with that one.
I am surprised by the seemingly greater bandwidth! The first pictures show the apple vga. The last the RGB2 (internal moome v3). The first resolution was not optimised like the second one so convergence was off.
