I'd rather take the Barcos, the whole 3200x1360 (2:35:1 AR) brings the resolution to near 4K, I honestly have no idea what the Barco would look like at that resolution, but I imagine if it can resolve it, that it looks pretty damn good.

Ok I have a real question again. The Cine Max logo turning points have been damaged is there a way to fix that has anyone found something or do I have to make something? Any ideas?

I have done 2560x1536 with my CineMAX, and although it was fine for video, text was barely readable. If you think its going to satisfactorily display 3200 pixels wide, youve got another thing coming, it had enough trouble with 2560.

I still have the pieces and am trying to glue them but it seems to much three pieces. Perhaps someone has one of these laying around from another model?
Als the hatch self misses the the part that is used to close it.

Unlike 7 and 8 series Barco's, where they are part of the cover, those hinges are used in Cine Max/9 and BR909 only. Small chances they are aviable.
My BR909 came also with broken hinges and on the remote cover, the clamping "ears" and pin were missing too.
I just took a remote door from an old 708 ( they are identical on all 7, 8 and 9 series ) and painted Barco-blue and i made the hinges from aluminium ( a U shape, a flat stripe and a tube ). Also a bit of paint and this was the result:

Ok now. The glue did not hold so I will try something like Hulio showed. However I might be on to some other problem in my Cine Max that has been there all the time. Yesterday while having the remote door closed the temperature started acting weird again. In the end the temperature jumped all over the place and I got an i2c error. Rebooting solved the problem. By the way the Cine Max became damned noisy too when the temperature sensor did not work well. The fans where spinning to fast.
Now I observed before that the remote has this little light on it and once I noticed that light was firing like hell on its own. So the remote was sending infra red on its own and a lot of it. Now a temp sensor acts on infra red and the remote door was close reflecting it into the machine? Sounds far fetched but it might be that my weird temp sensor and my noise are all caused by the infra red of the remote not functioning well?
Now my question is. Even when everything works fine the remote has a little led lighting now and then. Is this normal behaviour? I suspect it is not.

Nope is not, maybe one of the buttons on internal remote is stuck or triggers the remote.
Where does it run hot? convergence tray or back section? When it runs hot it's a good thing that fans run full speed to prevent damage.

Back section.
Was thinking about the fanspeed. What actually seems to happen is that the temp sensor goes all over the place but what happens is that the fans seem to spin at lower speed but after some time I see the temp that jumps and jumps up and down (from i2c to 53) rise to 30 degrees (normally 28) and than the middle fan kicks in a lot of the time. So the Max is actually getting hotter in the back section and the temp circuit seems actually to not function.
After a reboot the Max went from 30 to 28 degrees after some time.
I am thinking about disconnecting the wire to the remote. Have to take it apart but it might be anything inside.

Ok, this is weird. I tried if the Max worked with the internal remote disconnected and that worked. But before I started I checked the led on the remote and is was flickering now and than in stand by mode. I reconnected it and now no more flickering. Have to wait and see what happens.

Don't worry about overheating I see you already have the Fire extinguisher nearby

Worked fine yesterday still have to wait and see if the sensor and remote will stay normal. Does this connected remote really produce infrared? I mean there are wires on it do the commands go through these wires or are these there to power the remote? The design suggests that there are infrared diodes in the front because there is the same plastic on the front as with the other remote.

I think there is 4 wires isnt there? It wont be infrared, there is no sensor near enough to it.
