Red light above red button is on. Press button no response. Turned power off , count to 10, turn power on, still no response.
Any suggestions?

No point being pessimistic; it probably would't work anyway.

No response.
From time to time this pre has required reset as in cold start.

Ray how old is the MX134? I have the MX132 and it has had a couple of odd behaviors with mine, but I think its capacitor related since my unit is a 12 year old model.
It could be related to age, whatever it is im sure its fixable, and worth getting fixed too.

Thanks
As soon as I get a big burst of energy, I'll pull it out , open it up and make sure nothing has rattled loose. I posted hoping someone knew all the levels of reset so I could try everything easy first.

If you could find that out that would be nice actually, as I couldn't find the manual for my MX-132 (that was the only thing not included with it from the original owner, probably because there were literally thousands of manuals to dig through) and I would like to do a factory reset on mine as well, I couldn't get the coaxial audio to work the way I wanted.
