TV/Projector: All of them!

I actually have about 1 3/4 cases more. I need to go attempt to assemble them though, at least one side panel needs paint badly. So I may be able to sell one case by itself, but I'm not going to post until I assemble one on a projector and will take pictures.

RUMORS RULE!!!! Curt....just sell it as is. Let them know the risks. See big e....he might kiss your ear lobes. If he was willing to get a case made out of clear plastic, fitting even a deformed VV1 cover would probably not matter.

I have a case from Curt and WOW, the baby grand references are true. It's a beautiul case. It gets rid of the old yellowing plastic effect from the side and make the giant beast on the ceiling have purpose. It might be lipstick (and shiney black dress on a mule), but oh what a mule... Makes you want to take it in the driveway and buff it to show off... (going form big a$$ projector to tiniest sportscar ever) lol. Still you'd have people ask about it. lol

Now wait a minute. My electrohome has metal sides. We're some plastic or did some just turn yellow anyway?

I'm not going to go look at it, but the effing sides are either nasty aged plastic or painted to look like it... and why.... oh why!?!?! would anyone in their right mind decide "THAT" is the color....??!!? I have my original 1981 XT computer (64 kb of ram baby) and the sides of the original marquee case look like they are from the same dye batch. It looks like Chit! Get a case worthy of the projector.

Hi,

This depends on the production date. On a stock machine You have a total of three side covers:

- There is a lower cover near the mounting points which can be of metal (painted in gray) or black plastic. This cover will have to remain on the machine, even if You're using a VV1 case. So You might want to paint with a color that matches the new case.
- There is an inner shielding made of aluminium which can remain mounted under the stock covers or the VV1 case. I chose to remove it in order to improve the air flow.
- There are the large plastic side covers (and yes: Those are ugly!). These can be yellowish gray or black.

Regards,
