Here I is!

I check in on OT every once in a while, but just for old times sake, I thought I'd check in on the actual CRT subforum to see what's new in the world of tubes.

We sold our house last summer and in the packing/moving process, I officially became CRT free for the first time in almost 50 years of living... no CRT TV's, no more CRT monitors, no more CRT projectors, no more CRT tubes. Sold the G90 and put a DLP in the HT. Sold the house in 4 days. I also reaffirmed that DLP is not for me.

I have a space in the new house for a new HT, but I built a bar first. Will do the HT this summer. We still had our annual Super Bowl party with 50 guests. I got a Epson 1080P LCD on ebay, hung a screen in the unfinished space, and none of the guests noticed or cared that I no longer had the G90 hanging from the ceiling.

I'll have to check my calendar... I'm overdue for a Meet and it's been too long since partying with the Cliffy.

We've got another booze cruise with a bunch of our neighbor friends in a couple of weeks and then we're flying to visit family for Easter week. But Apr 25 should be open. I might just use some FF miles and fly into Midway.

My home boy wazzup? Smile

I actually like my BenQ W7000. That thing is a light cannon and really does well. I had rainbow issues for the first week and since then they are non existent. Congrats on the new place bro and glad to see you are alive and well!

You must make the last meet my friend. I hope you make the trek to St. John! Smile

I may need assistance in time for the meet to make the stack fully operational.

Ken? Curt? Arli? Bueller? Anyone?

Also, the stack has to go so start salivating you CRT lovers cause it's gonna go cheap Smile

Open the case, and gently poke the area around the blue CRT socket. IN fact, take off the video amp, let it dangle, and use something like a wooden chopstick to flex the wires going to the motherboard from the CRT socket.

It's coming from the front of the projector big dog strangely. I was able to get her going again. I took my flashlight and banged the side front by the blue tube for a couple of minutes and its back now Smile

Let's see how long it lasts LMAO.
