Jeremy, yes I am now a cleaner of discarded audio video gear!

Yep and I have to say this unit is going into my every day system!!! It has a wireless Lan converter(AS-WL300) i can buy that will allow it to be controlled via my iPhone with an app and also stream from my iPhone and
it upgrades me to HDMI audio so my extra BD player will come upstairs and into this system.
For the 160 I spent on all the units shipped I am giddy right now.

How much you wanna bet the original customer took it back to BB or wherever and looked the customer service person right in the eye and said 'It just stopped working, I dunno what happened'

Well it will cost me more now as I have to get A remote and the calibration Mic. Unless an Audyssey mic will work. I have one that came with my SVS AS EQ -1 sub equalizer .

You can go to Pioneer website and download a free remote control app for your phone and use that to control the receiver.

Receiver number 2 Fixed!!! One of the Onkyo TX SR707's is working. I'll probably try this one in my theater since it has Pre amp outs, two Sub outs,A phono input, HDMI, and Audyssey room correction!!!!
Edit: Decided to get started on Onkyo number two. This one had a cut power cord and no note on what was wrong.
I made a new cord and it powered up and seems like its working fine!!!
Another one fixed!!!! Well I still need to check HDMI but otherwise it seems to be ok.

Kinda looks like a Yamaha rcvr from 20 years ago my ex decided to put a potted plant on while I was at work. The dumb $#%@!&* didn't even put like a pie plate under the damn wicker planter and watered the snot out of it.
I could have saved it except she saw what she'd done and moved the plant off it, wiped the water off the case....and powered it up "To see if it still worked". FWAP....ZZZZZZTTTT.....boat anchor.
That wasn't the main reason I divorced her, but it ranked in the Top 10!!!!
If I wasn't going in for spinal fusion surgery March 6th I woulda got in on this and snagged one/two of the HDMI w/3D to fix. Can't beat the prices that's for sure Mac!

When will you a$$wholes ever learn. Women are not that stupid (even if they are blonde). My wife threatens to sabotage my equipment all the time (especially where crt projectors and subwoofers are involved). That's why I rack mounted all my equipment out in the garage AND did not treat for spiders. Did I forget to say my wife is aracnophobic.
Smarten up or get a new hobby.

Since divorcing her 20 years ago I've been perfectly happy in the belief she was/is an idiot and see no reason to change that now.
If you have to go through all that trouble to safeguard yer toys dood, erm, well, yaknow.... just sayen.

Actually, my HT equipment rack was moved to the garage to protect it from the prying fingers of my youngest boy who is autistic. Back in the days before DVD I had a nice VCR in system. One day I tried to put a tape in and it wouldn't go in. I opened the little door and found that missing peanut butter and jelly sandwich that he refused to eat. It was just a plus that my wife won't go in the garage because of the spider thing.
My balls are right here where they belong. I'm scratching them while I'm typing this

Heh heh...brings back memories. My story from 25 years ago involved my 4 year old daughter, a brandy new JVC 4 head Hi-Fi VCR, and an Eggo waffle with grape jelly and cream cheese. Funny as hell now....not so much at the time.
I dropped a bid on an Onkyo TX-NR708 today that has the HDMI board 100uF/4v cap failure. $10 and it's in IL just over the border about 20 mins away. No remote but for $10 (atm anyway)..... I'll be able to solidify my digital chain.

Athan, Christmas was a couple of months ago but very cool. Wish I had one.
Waiting for the next updated list to come along. There's a couple of high end AVR's that I'm looking for.
