I put a new quad in the CineMAX, that made it alot brighter and sharper...

The quivering is now gone and the focus works as it should!!

The difference is pretty plain to see.

Topo. might be due to the gamma circuit in the moome.

I also noticed the older ext is not as sharp as the internal. A few changes of caps and a couple other parts can fix that.

I plan to look at mine soon and see what can be done. I know MP has worked on the Ext I think and got better results than stock.

What resolution/ pixel clock are you using on those shots..?

Is it the source changing the color balance, or is it different projector calibrations.?

Ah looks good exactly like mine Wink
I use moome ext. V2 and also have little ghosting like yours. I'm supprised that your analog connection give such sharp image, how long are your cables?

Cables are about 6-8 meters, but theyre quadshield RG6 with compression fittings, so the length isnt an issue.

There is no ghosting. Not in either image, unless youre seeing something im not? You can see the second image is clearly better bandwidth. Im not sure which pic of yours you are refering to? I probably havent seen it. Post it up if you like.

Both are 1920x1080p at 60Hz, both from the same PC, both with the same standard timings.

The colour difference is cause neither had the colour balance touched.

The RGB-HV is sharper yes, and both pics are the same iphone 4S camera, simular position and angle, uploaded to photobucket.

No, both are going into PORT 4/5, but that makes zero difference on the CineMAX, i tried PORT 3 in the past with the same results.

Its quite clear where the short commings in this instance are, its the EXT MOOME V3 box thats killing it. You can see there plain as day with a couple blury iPhone pics.

What i wonder is it looks like with the moome there is a lot of roleoff to the 1:1 pattern, and peaking on the 2:2 pattern.

With the other source it looks like peaking on the 1:1 pattern and not so much on the 2:2 pattern.

How do green only look like.?

Green looked darker on MOOME in the vertical, normal on RGB.

The blue curve is a mile out, and on the 1:1 vertical with RGB, its abit fatter than green and red.

Its the same source both times by the way, just delivered differently to the projector, as i thought i stated quite clearly.

I think youre reading abit too much into it, considering the downsizing photobucket puts on the images.

This is exactly what i was saying about the external MOOME V3 in at least one other thread ( i wasnt the only one, at least 3 others backed my claim ) and you wanted proof of what i saw, there it is above. Accept it for what it is. I dont have a camera, only the iPhone 4S, i cant upload the full image cause this site wont let me upload a file that big, so photobucket is all youre getting. Wink Laughing

Its fine.. Just wondering where that peaking is coming from. The moome for sure seems to be a huge limitation, specialy when considering the peaking addet.

Is there anywhere in the Barco to adjust that peaking like on some Marquee VIM boards?

A good way to check whats going on it to lower contrast and look into the lenses and see if the level of the vertical lines compared to the horisontal changes as you change the output/ contrast.

The pattern your using, is it not the same one where you told us that the 1:1 vertical lines should be darker, that the pattern was made like that?
