That is the wrong cable, that is Component, not RGB, what you need is a SCART cable.

I will post links and pics abit later on Wink

Its 9:52am here, but ive hurt my neck at work so ive had trouble sleeping lately.

Use it without the line doubler, it should be in 480i anyway on that game.

Yeah, I realized that but the PS2 was a little hit or miss on the composite input of the D50. Hence the reason I ran it through the line doubler. Now with the Quad decoder I can run it 480i.

Finally got to this annnnndddd. My Quad decoder crapped out. It just sits there and flashes the output causing the D50 to throw and error code 10 Grrrrr...

Never mind bad batch or cable.

any additional thoughts?

As Case said. Wrong cable. You are confusing RGB with Component because of the color coding. Yes Component is Red Green and Blue but is a different signal type from RGB. As Case says you will need the SCART cable which will output RGB not Component.

What projector/monitor are you running again anyways?

You CANT cut that cable to get RGB, it is a PS2 component cable. PS1 has no component output, only composite, s-video, and RGB. You will get no image at all with that cable on a PS1, and itll be all green with a PS2.

Sorry I took so long, but here is a couple links of everything you need:

This is the exact SCART cable I have, its perfect:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RGB-Scart-Video-AV-Cable-PS2-PS1-PS3-PlayStation-2-3-PSTwo-Slim-RCA-NEW-/141138763455?pt=UK_Video_Games_Cables_and_Adaptors&hash=item20dc869ebf

Then you plug it into this one, which connects straight to your NEC 6PG:

Just but the 2 items in my link ubove. Its much easier, itll work straight away when you plug it in.

Your cable you showed a pic of was a component cable. No matter what you do to it, its the wrong cable.

sorry, but how it can be wrong if the right pins are attached.. wrong material or how do you mean wrong. the ps multiav got 12 pins and for example the 3 rgb pins go to (i logicaly assume) the 3 rgb component plus plug of my cable, how can this be wrong anyway? the same with all the other pins

your items look great, but quite expensiv. and is the lm1881 in those?
