Yep, that is he... Wink

Its really quite easy to learn, and like i said if i had the time id be happy to do this for you and send it over ready to plug in and go, but time is hard to come by here, you will be really happy with the RGB quality if you learn how to make that circuit, just as happy as youll be if you buy one made.

Not in my experience, i had an NTSC console here that did, worked with the exact same cable. They dont vary in that respect region to region, only in terms of what XTAL is installed and what jumper is set to the CXA1645. They all do s-video as well.

Only the N64 has the RGB gone altogether from the NTSC version, even the PAL console needs a mod to get it if you dont have the french one.

That's it! I'm never believing anything I read off Google again !! Dam internet! Laughing

1: goes to H on projector
2: is composite video from SCART connector
3: goes to V on projector
4: is ground
5: is nothing important
6: make that simple circuit and connect to ground ( its a 680k ohm resistor and a 0.1uF ceramic cap in parallel, so connect both to pin 6 and ground the other end, which you can use pin 4 )
7: nothing
8: 5v DC supply, which you will get from the SCART cable.

The R G and B lines from the SCART cable wont need the 220uF electrolytic caps if you use a pre-made SCART cable, they are less than $10 usually, i paid $6 delivered to Australia from China. Bargain.

cool , am right on to it wright now, thanks to all!,

but as i am using a female vga connector where my vga to rgb cable goes in (i forgot to buy bnc jacks;) , do i have to bridge the rgbs to the rgb returns, or are they obsolete?

ohh, and what about vga pin 10 or 5 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_connector ) ?

ohoh, my chip has now direction mark on it, there is only the name imprinted..?

There will be a dot on it, that is the top as you see it in the drawing.

You need to go into the 5 BNC connectors, those other connectors are not video inputs.

I wasnt sure about your question on RGB return, ignore those, the only pins you need are 1,2,3,5,13,14, the rest are of no use.

Show a pic of the chip.

5 is ground, if you use 10 then connect both.

Use it without the line doubler, it should be in 480i anyway on that game.

Yeah, I realized that but the PS2 was a little hit or miss on the composite input of the D50. Hence the reason I ran it through the line doubler. Now with the Quad decoder I can run it 480i.

Finally got to this annnnndddd. My Quad decoder crapped out. It just sits there and flashes the output causing the D50 to throw and error code 10 Grrrrr...

something like this with additional video composite http://i01.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v1/503906087/free-shipping-font-b-Component-b-font-font-b-AV-b-font-Audio-Video-HDTV-Cable.jpg
(got to mention that instead of the original playstation cable ALL pins are present on that multiav plug-instead of only four pins at the original ps cable)

all that (rgb + video +plus chip vs hs)
goes to the right pins (1,2,3,5,10,13,14) of my vga to dvi thing that i deconstructed to have a female vga out http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/4f/DVI-VGA-Adapter.jpg/220px-DVI-VGA-Adapter.jpg

so that i can plug in my vga to rgbhv cable..

and just to make shure that i made myself clear, i didnt power up the chip yet! (dont know how to, but without powering allmost nothing happens at all)

sorry for the messi description. i have no cam at all..)

ps: what the time @ your place Smile i got 11pm
