Tested port 5 tonight with my cheapo transcoder hooked up to my battery powered hand held Mrs Pac Man game-in-a-joystick. No difference, so it doesn't appear to be the sources.

Jask - what are you running now? I am pretty much leaning towards going with the 6PG+. As part of the sickness, I know where there is another one in good condition pretty cheap, I am thinking about grabbing that for a parts machine, sell of the low hanging fruit (lenses and remotes). But WAF is an issue. I'd need to decide to part out the barco (or sell whole) before I could get another PJ in the house - especially while we are paying the contractors for the basement remodel.

I am running the pg but building the new room for the Barco. I can relate on the WAF situation Very Happy
Try doing a rough set-up off the drywall in your room! just do all the adjustments to your final distance from screen- that way if you stay with the PG you will have one less step to redo.

Bringing up an old thread. Well I was further disassembling this barco, and I took apart the sectrion under the tray where the tubes used to get this 100% taken apart and moved out of the HT build area to storage until the rest of the parts are sold off, and I find ripped up wadded up napkins and mouse droppings. I guess in a past life this pj was a rodent Hilton. I didn't see any of the wires chewed through (kind of surprised), but some were dislodged. Not sure if the mouse did that or I did at some point when I scavenged a part. Pretty sure it was the mouse as I had never opened that part of the PJ up. Wonder if a dislodged cable was what stopped this PJ from working. Too late now, since its been parted out.
