Picked up a 1040 with a horizontal deflection burn on the green. Got any tubes left?

No hurry. By the way what would cause the green to have a horizontal deflection burn and not the other two tubes?

Ha, that's what I told my friend when we powered it up and all the G2's were cranked.

Yeah. I think you are the only one that has a 10xx projector with actual tube wear.

I'm thinking someone pulled the mains plug when they saw the tubes light wayyyy up because of the G2

That was indeed the 'user error' part. Mr. Green

Jeremy, one of my 1001QMs has almost new tubes, those in the pic are my spares Wink They are MUCH worse than they look ( and VERY f***en soft!!! ) Both sets are actually quite sharp with the new and near new tubes, I would love to hack in some RGB input there one day, since 1001 was the same as the 1044 without the RGB input.

Correction I never GOT to use them as they are still mint(not even broke in yet) as the lvps died before I could toast the tubes that was in the set

Though the set seen more use then you think case(just was a problematic pain in the butt due to age which loved to scare me at odd and unexpected times Smile with a random arc)that was mostly with me playing games hard core for up to 6-8(or more as I once played for 10 non stop) hours at a go Smile been trying to not game as much since I got my marquee but I can't resist that large screen :p and the 7.1 surround sound that goes with it(those tubes aren't cheap as they are for the Ecp though)

I have decided unless its for a machine the curt doesn't support I ain't keeping spare tubes or parts unless I have too as I doubt I will need them (eg my nec which I have spare parts for but they are untested)

Heck I have spare boards for the Ecp that never got to see service when I used that set(though those Sony tubes gave a nice pic for them being 7 inch tubes)

Ar if you want pics pm me your email and I will prove that the tubes are mint

Yep I know and it sucked too as I was planning on upgrading AFTER I had used all of the tubes I have but I guess the lvps had other intentions Smile but it don't matter as I have a great working set now(just have to get mike Parker to mod the boards soon;) )

It sucks the very part I have no spare of or repair diagrams of failed(service manual states replace only)
As I have no backup set I plan on getting a dwin just in case my marquee breaks down(unlikely but better to be safe then without a projector till parts arrive)

Ar curt told me that the tubes I got from him were the last he had at the time

If he has more in I have no clue but if not I will see about prepping a green for you

I do need to know does yours have the tinted glycol?

I'll check today. I'm definitely low on stock, but did recently scrap a couple of Ampro 2000s that had decent tubes in them if I remember correctly.
