Could be fun if someone with a 808 with HD 144 lenses, and a good adjusted focus would post a picture.

It it AC or LC the moddet 808.?

Lc, and i agree with you.

Hi Diddern, you are sure it's Liquid Coupled??? In your first post you said HD145 and that's a AC lens right?
I think P16 AC tubes are in this machine with High grade guns with extra grid.

I think there is a big improvement on sharpness. I was looking for some pictures of my old BG808s AC with sony tubes but don't have it anymore. Only a few from my BG808s LC with P16 tubes barcostein with sony G70.

Here is a illustration of the improvements.
Picture taken by same camera Canon Eos 1000D form 2,6m and with same shutter time 0,8 sec. and blend 5,6 and white level on camera on manual.
Barco new is with the inserted card mod 2, with mod card nr 3 its some better blacks in pictures.
Picture named Barco is form last time and Barco NY is the newest.

This is the same test like before, but now the improvements.
All pictures are downscaled so noise can appear that is not there.
Also remember, that pictures look not so fresh like they do in real, this because of camera adjustments.
But just to see improvements and differences.

Here to show some pictures taken with camera on auto, just to show that things look better with this setting.
Then is the white level on the camera automatic, and makes differences more difficult to see. This is why its meaningless to have a screenshot war.
But looks dam good Smile

I have a 1208s/e which is very close to a 808s.

3x 180dvb22 (low resolution)
Mike Parker modded Input and Driver (I also have my stocks boards)
HD144's

It's not running but should be in a couple of days. If you post the pattern i'll see what i can do!

The projector you are talking about, what are the exact specifications?

BG/BD 808(S)?
Tubes are the eisemann simulation grade tubes?
LC/AC? Which lenses?

Watched Man of Steel last night along with the old Alfred Hitchcock The Man Who Knew Too Much. Not bad looking for a 1957 movie, and on the Blend!

Piercy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters Was all right too.

Have the Sound Of Music to watch too. Been wanting more of the old stuff lately for some reason.

Yep, I use my Oppo's 1/2 zoom feature to make 1.78 or 1.85 fit the height wise . Works perfectly
that way.
