Curt! I know I told you I was buying one in Nov, but the reason I am being hesitant, I want make sure all my i's are dotted and my t's crossed. I don't want to buy one and then later have buyers remorse. I tend sometimes to over analyze and research thinks. thanks for your help and the info. Joe

It will allow you to run a really high gain, the image will be nice and bright, and youll still get a huge screen.

Im no expert on it, but there are some people here that are, and will be able to tell you the pros and cons better than I can.

It is certainly an option though, and people use them abit with digital projectors and anamorphic lenses too.

Being a owner of a marquee with both 8 and 9inch tubes using a 120 diagonal screen (love it)

I say go for it

I can have lights on while using my projector( only when I have too though)

Pluses for a crt is motion blur(there is non)
Awesome blacks vs a digitals gray blacks
Great contrast

I have a marquee 9501LC and it is a awesome machine

If I had to do it over I would still choose a crt over digital

Case is right about not having to mess with it I ain't messed with the convergence since I upgraded to 9 inch tubes

If you like games and movies a crt is still best
