Bit unsure about how i should configure my Lumagen HDP.

Using a greg eisemann modded port 3 port which uses the SIL907B chip. Same as the DVI moome, HDFURY 1 and Orphit DDA (this is a variation).

But how should i configure my lumagen? It outputs RGB so that's okay but what about the output levels?

0-255 or PC levels

VS

16-235 or Video levels

Generally speaking, it doesn't matter if you set up your video chain to do 0-255 or 16-235. As long as they're all done the same and you don't clip or crush the signal.

It makes no difference which you use as for movies/video content, there's nothing outside the 16-235 range. You just need to be consistent with it.

My video chain is set up to do 16-235. That means the source is set to send that and the display is set to show that.

I recommend using something like the free AVS709 test disc to confirm you're not clipping or crushing either end of the signal.

I only have my xbox 360 as a source currently

Xbox 360 at RGB 0-255 ---- Lumagen input set to 0-255 ----- Lumagen output set to 0-255

Seems fine when using the AVS 709 in the video player app but in games black detail is lacking.

The fuse in my AV reciever blew and i can't replace it myself (or i'd lose my warranty) so i have to ship it back.

Before i had

Xbox at YCbCr 0-255 --- Onky TXNR809 with h HQV® Vida™ VHD190 changing colorspace to RGB -- RGB 0-255 - Lumagen output RGB 0-255

and there was no issue, probably has something to do with my xbox crushing blacks in game when outputting RGB (i can find simular threads online) but i want to make sure the output of my lumagen is correct.
