What source were you displaying on your CRT that wasn't using pixels? Do "real images" have scan lines?

True, but then you can only use about 94% of the width of the chip on a 4k projector like the VW1000.

Out of all this i just made a 576P 150hz profile on my Marquee..
Adjusted the dot size to make the scanlines meet.
Now i have never seen more dynamic detailed colorfull DVD image.. No scaling artifacts or ringing..

Well i understood you were the one pointing out that screenshots was useless.. so why bother.. But actualy i would love to make some,, ill see if i can fix my canon camera..
Dont underestimate the power of native resolution displayed 1:1 not even SD material.
Its clear to see how much dynamic range details and ansi contrast was lost in the scaling.
Your optoma will do fine with 720P material, its just not a standard format, so you wil always need to scale.. so no gain there.

[quote="mp20748"]CRT projector - 1920X1080P /60hz
My 03 that's waiting on the mini board mod.
Just to prove that screenshots are just bull when taken by different camera, and different screens and room.
Here a projector that cost me 120 dollar. A Theme Scene DLP 720P. I think its a optoma. Oppo player 720P 60hz
Picture taken form 2,7 meters
Focus center. Screen estimated 90" did not manage to get the picture bigger. Tried to get the best picture possible form different distances. To cover up pixels on screen
Side by side different camera me iphone 4 and you I do not know.
I play "stridsvognen"
Color is off
To much sharpness
Dynamic to much
You cant know that form screenshots. You are talking about the camera.
The camera shows only what need to be shown, if it is hard images it compromises..
Screenshots are useless, unless same room, same camera, same shutter time, same adjustments.
No need to argue this is also fact..
