In my personal opinion I think that the best results will be from a cine9 or 909.

Just dropped my Cine9 into the dumpster some minutes ago because it looked like VHS !
Thanks Diddern i didn't know that.
Bought two VW1100 just in case one breaks
Now i live with:
- not acceptable black levels
- motion problems
- cheap plastic case

Cheep plastic yes but better optics than a cine 9 hehe
And it has acceptable black level.
But you will never know that. You can buy it in 15 years. And then compare with the Barco

Considering I've serviced over 500 digital projectors in the last 3 years, all varying levels of quality and ranging from low end to ultra-high end, yes I can safely say that every brand of digitals (especially Sony, Epson, and Hitachi) are very prone to failure. LCoS panel yellowing, power supply failure, mainboard failure, burnt polarizers, bad fans, fragile plastic chassis... most of them no older than 2008. Take your pick.
Curt has even pointed out on the Sony Qualia, a $28,000 projector, the design fault that is very well known that causes the Qualia to stop operating properly, and that was back in 2008 when the qualia was only 5 years old.
So yeah, your sh*t digital projector is going to die. Suck it up and move on.
