Oh, and this is for Andy. The shot you posted was using my other camera. And to be fair, I could use my better one and post your shot also. But I'm against that kind of stuff, so the following shots are from my better camera. To give you an idea of what my image look like after the first two changes.

The shot you posted was somewhat washed out in comparison, but I just thought you guys would jump on it, but here's more of the real deal:

It's only going to get better after tonight..

We'll be working on the mud shot, but for now, I'll post another shot for you to compare.

You have the better camera, recently calibrated and "better" projector, so this should be easy for you.

This one is for naturalness ONLY

Why do you say this some days ago and now this film looks so artificial??

So now this movie does not look so artificial?? Laughing

The JVC looks much better your picture looks artificial compared and has way to much shine in his face+++

Your also looks washed out and a bit overexposed in some parts and underexposed in others, what have you done here?? And of corse very soft...

Really? Whats wrong with that pic Kurt?

I love my CRT Blend...... but I am not blinded by what the digital guys are posting here. Especially Tawn's shots of his 909 and JVC. And the last Apacalypto shots.

No reason why someone can't love both technologies.

CRT for the fun of tweaking and seeing how far it can be pushed and Digital for how much better it gets every year,And no matter what we do with our CRT's they will never be as sharp , just face it guys.

We like CRT FOR THE SOFTNESS, it reminds us of film, just as I still love the soft sound of Vinyl over Digital. But I use digital music almost excusivley and save my analog listening for the times I want to relax and experience the whole analog sound.

But you digital guys miss the points I just laid out.

Even we CRT guys question Gregs claims here. We are not defending him.
We are defending the right to still own these beasts. We like to tinker, and learn about electronics from them.
It is fun for us, what can't you just leave it at that.

Some day I'll own a digital, actually do an old Sony VPLWQ400, but will get e newer tech one. And you know what?
I'll still keep my CRT Blend up and watch it weekly. Why? BECAUSE I STALL CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can have both techs bake my cake and eat it too.
