Now it's family time. Mumble jumble all like. The fact is the facts and I said that from the start a CRT will never, or can be better than anything that resolve 1080 P with a higher MTF. If you like vhs I can't stop you your choice. But the fact is if you compare you Will get that feeling. Live with it ,it's the fact

All of the clipping is in the camera!!
And you can do this forever and I will show another angle.
Witch shows the most details.

How can it be possible that a CRT any brand can be better at showing how a picture shall be shown when the MTF is 30-50 compared to a machine almost resolve 1080p almost hundred % ,,, how is that possible? What happens to debth, clearness, details, and so on. Because of the MTF?
Tell me this and only this. |
Have you ever seen a high bandwidth CRT projector, or for that matter a CRT who will resolve more than 80Mhz.?
As i been trying to ask.. Is that muddy face shot the best you guys can do, or can you do it better.? |
Have read anything I wrote?
You don't know what you're talking about CRT is a interlaced machine.
You are right it will be something better but still many miles from today's technology. You have to wake up and smell the coffee |
A interlaced machine..?? lol
Please explain how that works..

We'll be working on the mud shot, but for now, I'll post another shot for you to compare.
You have the better camera, recently calibrated and "better" projector, so this should be easy for you.
This one is for naturalness ONLY

I have told you that a few times now. The digital shot have more details, its also a higher resolution, but it has some funny artifacts and quite some white clipping that the CRT image dont have.
I still think you should consentrate about the muddy face shot, and compare to Mikes CRT who have the bandwidth to resolve 1080P 60hz.
You now comparing to a 80Mhz projector with a very bad calibration. Sure that your images will look better than that no matter how much artifacts and clipping you add in the picture.

Have you ever taken a picture with an ipad??
I never use my JVC to show 1080p60hz with BD as BD is native 1080p24hz. And of corse the JVC has the bandwith to show it if I had some native 1080p60 material. But what is true is that the CRT does not have MTF over 50% when displaying 1080p material.
And as I have said I will not post anymore screenshots here as I have clearly shown they are worthless.
And no you have not told me the digitals have more detail, you are questioning it all the time. And actually the only way to see this properly is to see them side by side fed the same sourcematerial from the same BD player. As the thruth can not be shown in screenshots!
Now it is familytime here also.

So you dont think we compare high bandwidth CRT side by side with Digital machines..?
What high bandwidth CRT have you put next to your JVC.?

When you guys talk naturalness what do you mean? To me a soft, dull and flat picture with no brightness is not natural, so please enlighten me.
But I have to give it to you, without taking the same picture on my JVC (and I will not as I am finished with sceenshots) your picture of this looks good without comparizon to another PJ.

I have not, that is why I want you guys to show me it in real life not with screenshots.

We're not going to be doing a side-by-side comparison, and the screenshots is far better than listening you guys claims about your projectors being better than CRT.
So either shut up and go away, or pull out your camera and fire up your bulb..

The screenshot master!
This also looks good without comparizon to another PJ.
But as I have said now 1000 times, screenshots are wothless for comparing projectors. You as an expert should know that.

Stridsvognen why don't you answer my question?
I can let you in on that I have seen CRT also with high bandwith and so on.
Now your turn.

Still a lot of black crush, and if it is how it is shown on screen he needs to adjust his out of this world CRT. By the way videolevel is 16-235.
And why did not the screenshot master post it himself??

His work with the 300mhz will not alter the MTF % by much, if he is lucky he gets 50% at 1080p.
And to proove I am wrong he must post a screenshot of 1:1 vertical lines. If it looks anyway near the picture I posted I will shut up.

He sent me the original camera file, and let me upload it here.
Now you mention black crush, what do you call the stuff going on in your picture.?
Lets see if Mike will send another picture later, and if he can still hold black, so it dont look gray/ green like in your shot.
