Take a visit over to the Cadillac owners website sometime and see how the other forum I have joined is like on your iPhone (which is why I prefer the Cadillac owners app for that forum) I put up with it for years
It does me wish there was a iPhone app for us iPhone owners to use for this forum (it would make it quicker)
But this forum isn't as bad to navigate on my iphone compared to the other
Ps I had my cousin check the g2 settings on my nec and set them to factory so now to get the video chain boards recapped since I know the issue I have had is in those boards

Rocks, yes, I thought about that. But then I would need to reorder where I would keep my output sources, which would mean rearranging the room. Camilla often needs access to the printers so I cannot clog that part of the room with equipment. But I agree that it would be the best placement, if the only one at all.
About that CRT, it's safe. Really. I have never had any CRT implode on me, and I hope I never will. We have no kids, and rarely any people over anyway. And when we have guests they usually stay in the diner space, or the balcony, with their food/drinks as they realize that my zone is the danger zone.
Case, you've made you case. I'm sure Big E will remember what he's done for the rest of his life.

He has done me like that more then once but I got the point
It's just seeing the crt out in the open like that just made me uneasy considering where its at heck I have five sitting in my basement out in the open and not in a box and I am not afraid to work around them(I know I am risking a trip to the er but haven't had one implode and like you hope I never do)
But ar is right about the placement for your projector provided you want to use it
If you mind pull the lens off and upload a few pics of the tubes(wear)
FYI I have been working around crt displays(both direct view and projection)since I was 8 years old and I fear more of getting shocked vs a tube implode

E, its not like as if im the only one that it frustrates, just that i seem to be the only one direct enough to say it to you without beating around the bush. If i have an issue, i tell you direct, and you should appreciate that. You frustrate the sh** out of me at times with your "repeat everything in every thread you post in" approach.
I know of the forum apps available on some forums, i dont like them though, i much prefer the standard internet page.
Tom, im sure you can achieve this with what you have there, my home is 6m x 7m total for the whole building, and i have two CRT projectors set up here, both larger than that little one youve got there

I fully understand but I have seen worse from other people in other forums(same for me getting attacked by other members for me being in a rush) what it seems is you don 't understand that I was in a rush and made a mistake THEY HAPPEN TO ANYONE
FYI if you did look at the Cadillac owners site you would see why I prefer the app on my phone(too many ads)over the browser when I am on the go

No one is attacking you. I am making a simple statement. If i was attacking you, id need to be present in the same room, so just relax mate, youre safe as houses
I have less than zero interest in a Cadillac forum. Not interested in the app, the cars, or what happens there. Its no interest to me at all. Golf cart forum? Yeah id have a look, retro gaming forum? Id probably even join, but Cadillacs? Not unless it includes Dinosaurs.

I didn't mean you had to join I was just refering to the fact the any forum(unless it has a mobile platform or app) is hard to read on a small screen
Anyway my mishap happened because I hit the button by mistake and didn't relize till it was already posted(I get error messages just about every time I come on here which I find strange as I am in it and something isn't right)I didn't do that on purpose
Ps the new ps4 is coming out soon and I have a preorder for one so I may post some screen shots(read eye candy)
Heck I have enough game consoles I should join a gamers forum(just not sure which one yet) also I am getting a marquee 9500LC soon

I dont like new playstations, they are not even poor man's PCs anymore, just uninformed man's PC...
Ive seen the apps, they are terrible. I like the small text, even with my f***ed old eyes i have no problems.

I will agree with you there as Sony really dropped the ball when they removed the second os feature from the ps3
If I don't have a app I will use the browser but I find it easy to read some things in the html format but not all will agree that they are bad
I guess you didn't read my whole post but I am getting a marquee 9500LC and am going to be posting pics soon
Also I have about 30 or more nes games and two consoles(can't wait to see them on the big screen provided my console still works) I even have the Zelda game for the nes(and it worked last time I played it)

I rarely read your whole posts, cause they tend to have alot of repeat info in them that is generally not relevant to the thread im reading.
I have both the Zelda games on the NES, im not really a big fan of them though. Ive only got about 40 NES games here, its not one of my more played machines.

Riiiiight.... Last I checked, it was a game console. 99% of console buyers, myself included, couldn't give two shits whether it can boot linux. If want a linux machine, I'll build a linux machine.

Its always been a console but it has the ability (well did) to run Linux but I like you prefer a dedicated machine for that and leave my ps3 for games and movies
I have two ps3's a fat model(which still has the 2os ability) and a slim model(which I have about played it to death)

Of course. Fine. I still have my original fat PS3, too. I couldn't care less about losing linux capability, though I understood why a very few were upset when that happened.
That's all the beside the point, though. What I took issue with was Case's implication that a console is just for ignorant people, which is bull****.
Not everybody wants a damn PC in their theater, along with all the crap that entails - myself included. Some people want simple hardware which requires no maintenance beyond clicking the "yes" button once in awhile. Some want the "sofa" experience, with wireless controllers. Some want the online support for a variety of games - that their friends are playing. Some want the exclusives, some want something much lower-cost than a PC.
Some game on consoles, some on PC, and some on both. But, most people are using consoles for very specific reasons just like the PC gamers do so for specific reasons, myself included. The idea that consoles are for dummies is BS.

You hit the nail on the head there
I have a media machine planned for my home theater but haven't got around to building it yet but a simple setup is one plus for a set top box or console
