I work on a campus, and were constantly being called in to classrooms where the projector is showing the blue screen, we then have to leave and come back with a ladder to power cycle the switch in the ceiling. Can we just reboot the DMPS 200 C by hitting the HW-R button, then press and hold SW-R button to bypass program and communicate directly with the processor? Would this work? Need to find a better solution than holding up class for 30 minutes, any suggestions would be great! Im new to the forum, so if i'm leaving out crucial details, please just tell me and I will do my best! Thanks a ton!

That's very new, very expensive Crestron equipment. If you're "constantly being called" to multiple classrooms for this issue, then the system isn't working as designed, and this is clearly way beyond a tech support issue.

You need to get the business people involved — most likely the purchasing department — and they need to get the system integrator who designed and installed the system to get in and take the necessary steps to make the system work correctly and reliably.

Welcome to the forum.

Yeah, that is the most obvious course of action, and they are out here frequently. However, I have to play with the cards I have. Would reseting the controller in the rack solve the issue? I see in the manual under troubleshooting that it's possible to reboot the DMPS. I appreciate your timely and accurate response, just trying to make life a little better for students and professors!

OK, well... Not knowing the system, it's tough to do much, but I can try. Let's get some details...

The projector is showing a blue screen... Is it the "no signal" blue screen or is it some other source because the controller hasn't switched sources or something?

The switch you're power-cycling on the ceiling... What kind of switch? Network switch? Projector hard power?

Once this happens, is system control still working, and it's just the video that isn't working any more?

A projector issue has been eating up all my time, another problem with crestron and possibly hdcp compliance. I will be checking into the switch, and I'm trying to get a diagram of whats been installed in some of the classrooms for future reference. Thanks for helping with this, everyone is so tasked out here, it's hard to get to the bottom of anything!

What part of the world are you in, if your initial A/V company isn't coming through for you, maybe someone here can?

okay, the processor in the room is a DMPS 200-C, the switch is a DM - RMC-100.
