Your Marquee might, but my CineMAX wont Laughing

I went to redo zone focus just before, some zones do not adjust at all, where as the one right beside it will adjust just fine. There is some sort of issue with this machine.

Ill post a close up one on one off in a minute, took with the iPhone 4S, its not too bad, but im pretty dissapointed with it really, it just should be better....

All those done with PORT 5 on the CineMAX, direct from the video card via 5x quadshield 75ohm RG6 with compression fittings each end.

As ordinary as it is there, it is not that sharp via the Ext MOOME V3.

Case, the line distortion seems to me an LVPS (HVPS - Horizontal deflection interaction) problem, check when moving brighter windows on desktop would affect the distortion's degree and/or position.

Yeah mate, there are a few zones that focus has no effect on. Most of the ones on the left work, and were very close anyway, but right and bottom are rather terrible. Hard to tell in the pic though cause its focus is on the 1 on 1 off lines.

Everything mid mate yep.

Are you using an external pattern generator or are those the internal ones.

Thats the computer mate, no internal patterns like that in the CineMAX!! I use external patterns to setup and converge the Barco too.

Yeah mate i dont know, the lines are extremely hard to see cause they move very fast, the waves pic is a static distortion thats worse on the right.

Mike will probably know when he sees it, from all ive read around since owning this rig he seems to be an expert on the 909...

What is the part number on the focus board (in the tray) in your Cine 9/909?

There are two different versions of the focus board for that set. The earlier one was replaced later with a focus board that had a larger black heat sink.

If you're using a PC as source, you're not going to get that pattern displayed properly until you replace the filters on the video card with ones that better suit the resolution. That's what we had to do with the Moome cards.

It's been a few years since working on these, and I have very few parts left.

I will have to check it out in a few days for you Mike, ive got perfect stability in alot of zones, it seems the flicker and juddering is worse in some zones. Hard to say. Its a July 2001 model.

The video card is just new, they are all aimed at 1920x1080p these days apparently.

Hi Stridsvognen,

Where do you get that test pattern from.

I would like to test my 9500lc too to see how far I'm off because is till need to do some mods and I think my sharpness is not as good as yours The smallest lines are one pixel of on in a 1080 screen?

Mike
I have a moome V3 ext so if i understand this one has also not the best bandwidth? I compared it with a direct vga output of my macbook pro (2007 model) and the moome was sharper.

Regards

Ron.
