Im looking at it on an LCD monitor here so its hard to tell, but it looks to be pretty simular really, which goes a fair way to backing up what I was saying ive seen with the RGB input and internal MOOME V2 on my XG.
Don't spose you've got a HD Fury 3 there do you?

I may not be familiar with the Fury 3. Don't remember that last one I looked at. The Fury that I got to look at, would not properly resolve 1920X1080P 60hz. It would get somewhat close, but not close enough for what we're trying to achieve. Or to put it another way, not the best solution to use on the higher end setups.
The two patterns I'm showing are both above 200mhz. The Moome card I have here does both (scan frequency).. , but because of the DVI to HDMI handshaking, there's a lot of peaking going on. It shows up with the top left line group being very bright. But everywhere else on the pattern it's razor sharp..

Yeah, but my point here is Mike ive tested the HDF 3 against the MOOME V3 external and found the MOOME to be no better by eye, using the CineMAX and watching a few scenes on some bluray discs standing up close to the screen as well as at and behind the seating position. When tested on the XG also adding the MOOME V2 internal into the test mix, it was easily sharper. It wasn't the cables, cause I used the same ones for RGB from the computer and that was about the same as internal MOOME.
Pretty basic testing, but so far what you have shown with the Marquee internal MOOME Vs the Marquee RGB seems to be consistant with that part of my findings.

I never posted a comparison between the Internal Moome Vs the Marquee RGB. They were all done coming out of my Chroma Pattern generator connected to my Marquee via RGBHV.
The differences that I've shown, is two different resolutions, that were all from the same source into the same input (RGBHV) on the Marquee.
To properly compare the Moome to an HD Fury, you would need a display device that would have an actual higher bandwidth than the better of the two devices. That test could or should reveal which device would have the higher bandwidth.
In my experience with the Fury (not sure what version of the last one I played with) it is no where near the Moome in bandwidth performance, because the Moome tested to have a much higher bandwidth performance compared to 'that' Fury I had at the time.

Did you or did you not just post patterns from a DVI source on the previous page?

I only mentioned the DVI to HDMI image (peaking) and that I had connected my generator to the Moome card that way. All images or shots are RGBHV from my Chroma to RGBHV - no DVI to HDMI > Moome images were posted.

Oh i see. I thought you had posted the last two from DVI source. Sorry mate.

Will get the Eisemann HDMI Port3 card the next days.
Making some tests then......

Great. Be mindful that the test would have to have a rule (criteria).
I suggest DVE (Digital Video Essentials) - run it in the Blu Ray player at its native resolution of 1920X1080P (also select that in the DVE menu). Go into the menu and select the SMPTE test pattern.
Start out first by running it directly into your HDMI converter. And when you get your image of 1920X1080P 60hz on your screen, tweak it for best detail and sharpness.
Once done take your picture and post back.
And if you have a Scaler. Implement it after you've done your direct connect. And if a scaler, you'll be able to go beyond the 1920X1080P resolution. that will allow you to go with higher resolutions and test verify the bandwidth limits of your setup.

I don't think you will be disappointed if youre happy with that external MOOME.

Mike I meant to ask what tubes you have in that Marquee?

I have the standard (LCP) tubes in my 9500 Ultra.
A few more shots at 1920X1440 /60hz coming out of my pattern generator.

It's going to be such a pleasure meeting Mike. Having set up several stock 9500's and Ultras right before I left, I really want to see his tweaked set!

Certainly very sharp test pattern.

Is the convergence out or it is just my glasses?

Looks like some convergence work needs to be done but its sharp none the less.

I agree the convergence is off on the left side

I am trying to pull out my cine9 controller board hanging from ceiling but having difficulty. Beside pulling on the two plastic taps is there any screws that need to be loosen?

The convergence will always be somewhat off in any of my TEST Pattern shots, and so will the Geometry. This is normal for test patterns shot where geometry and convergence is not a focus of the test. The convergence and geometry would also be off, because I am using a temporary memory, that will be deleted right after the test. So no need to spend hours finely tuning in a grid, when the test being performed does not require a finely tuned grid. I could however make a pretty grid, but why?
Anyway, I've taking a few more shots. I've been posting these shots in this Barco thread, hoping by now someone with a Barco Cine 9 or 909 would join me. I've yet to see any test patterns posted on the Barco that would be showing any of the bandwidth performance patterns. So maybe that will change with there being so many out there with these 180mhz CRT projectors.
--------------------
Two more shots posted. The first one is at: 1920X1440 /60hz. And as can be seen in the generators LCD window, it shows that to be 234mhz pixel clock bandwidth. The shot itself is a wide view of the entire screen, instead of just the center portion of the SMPTE RP 133 pattern. On that same displayed pattern, you're also able to see all 5 of the six pattern groups that involves the Center and Four Corner groups. If you also notice, you would see the high frequency roll-off not being equal on all five of the patterns. That same roll-off is showing that my setup is not properly resolving that full 234mhz -- the roll-off is slight, but still there.
--------------------
Now on this second pattern, which is showing it to be 1792X1344 /60hz as seen both on the pattern itself and on the LCD screen. It also shows on the LCD screen that it's 204mhz, and the shot of the image itself clearly shows the 6 pattern groups being equal in luminous, meaning no apparent roll-off. And be mindful that because of the distance from the screen, you'll not be able to see how tight (sharp) the line groups are. So if my previous posting of the two pattern shots of 1920X1440 /60hz was noted as being sharp, trust me that the lower resolution 1792X1344 is even sharper.
------------------
I'm stating all of this to be able to at least say I can clearly prove that my Marquee is well able to 100% resolve at least 180mhz and do it on the entire screen..
