When you say you now running 1080i can it output the 1080p? I doubt it.

Most blu ray players will output 1080i so look to see what you player says it output is on screen. Id the Stripper works as you say then the BD menu will show 1080p even if the signal you decide to use is 1080i that was converted by your AV player I assume.

the only Stripper/Splitter I know of that really does remove HDCP is the Moome. and it does a bunch of other things as well.

yeah no problem.... i cranked the ps3 to 1080P into splitter into amp via hdmi and output via component... when i bring up the video option on my Harmon/Kardon avr255 amp (with built in Faroudja Processor) it was showing 1080p/50 input 1080I out . . . basically bluray movies that gave me a copy protection error at anything over 480I it lets me now play at 1080i (limited by the cine 7 ATM , at 1080P it poops its self)... its also allowing me to upscale 576P to 720 1080 ect without going into copy protect mode .... I think it had something to do with going hdmi to component before ... hdcp kept thinking i was trying to steel my own movie but now its working.... Hope this answers you questions.... i'll take some pics tonight to show you what i mean as well in case i have not explained myself correctly...

Got my splitter from the Amazon link, it looks identical to the OP's splitter. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet (just moved and haven't set up my projector), but I'll post back when I try it out!

Looks identical too mine so fingures crossed yours works too PS if your only using it to strip hdcp you don't need to run the power supply obviously if you need long runs and 2x out that's a different story.... Good luck ..

If it strips HDCP, i can use it to feed my scalers with RGBHV output with stripped hdmi, and see how well they do the DA convertion compared to the moome card.

Dont think it will change much, like i dont think any of them can run the bandwith of 1080P 72hz.

but it will for sure be usefull for a friend of mine using a Barco 808 with a DVDO VP 30 and the Lexicon BD player Thumbs Up

I just tested mine, im now running 1080p 24hz hdmi into my DVDO VP50, and 1080p 60hz out RGBHV. Its working perfect, and might be a better solution than using HDFury. Also vorks with my DVDO VP30 Thumbs Up

These devices are notorious for frying themselves. They've been around for several years. If yours feels like it's getting hot, it will likely die within 6 months, unless you're using it only sporadically (and unplug it when not in use).

The design is poor, with a regulator bleeding off a lot of heat from dropping the voltage. They evidently assumed that a metal case would help with heat dissipation, but the heat sink isn't coupled to the chassis, so it's just a very hot sealed box. Drilling some venting holes can help, and IIRC one guy on Amazon went so far as to add a fan to his.

Im running mine without ext ps. no idea if it makes any difference, just turned it on when reading this 1 hour ago, and its still Cold. Ill try let it be turned on the rest of the day.

Its running hdmi in from my Radiance, and 2x hdmi out, one to my VP50, and another directly to the moome Card, with 7m hdmi cable, no problem.

Might try one of these to..
