I have a Barco 808s projector that features the Iris auto converge system.
How do I go about activating this?

Yes it was. I think it was stock on that set, I don't remember seeing one that didn't have it. if it's got the small camera on the front of the convergence tray, then the IRIS option should come up in the menus.

my cine 7 has its and it really dosn't help that much... but if you must.... manually set geometry first and use the touch up feature and it will get it close but not enough to be happy with....

IRIS works fine if you set it up correctly before hand, you need to angle the camera to the screen center both horizontally and vertically, then focus it as well. If you dont, itll be way off when its finished.

I use it on new inputs i havent set up yet, i set the geometry on the green, then run IRIS on the mode that doesnt adjust green, it gets me to about 90-95%. From there i adjust zone convergence as usual.

MX, i use external patterns on the Cine 9, with much finer lines so i can be sure i wont see the misalignment from the lounge.

The IRIS 3 on my Cine 7 works great. It does need to be properly set/adjusted before trying to align or converge.
