hd fury 2 not playing the game barco 808

hi has any one out there had any problems with a hdfury 2 mine seemed to be working fine but now the signal that is coming out is crap and the frequency seems to jump all over the place and I get a very distorted and unrecognisable picture I have a dvd player hdmi lead into hdfury2 rgb out into back of barco 808.i have tried multiple dvd players feeding the hd fury2 but all the same.But when I hook hdmi from my lap top to hd fury2 it seems to work???it does not make sense??

I checked power supply to hd fury and it is 5.6v which is what it needs its very weird becos if I run hdmi lead from my lap top to the hd fury convertor the projector picks up the signal straight away,plug in dvd player and it all goes to crap I have checked all settings on dvd player even changed some to no avail.am

I havent used one of those before, is there a light on it when it syncs?

Have you tried it on 1080i at both 50Hz and 60Hz

yeh tried 1080i at 50 and 60 it does have a light and that remains on when it gets a signal I have ordered another convertor so wilol try that when it gets here

I dont know that its the converter then, try deleting the block and redoing it.

on the back of the projector the rgb port is 4/5 that's the one it is pluged into like I said the bloody thing was working sweet I havnt changed any thing and all off a sudden now I cant get a good signal from the dvd threw the hd fury

Do you have the cable for the HD Fury to Port 3? It is also RGB, and that is what i use on my Cine 9

Hi,

The problem could be related to the GammaX doing something to the sync signals. Try removing it and/or playing around with its sync settings (write down the original settings first). According to its specs it can convert sync signals. The best choice for a Barco would be forced negative sync for H-Sync and V-Sync.

From the GammaX description:
• User selectable positive or negative sync output for displays that only accept negative sync (ex: Barco 800/801/808/1208, Dwin, etc.)

haha yeah dumb aussie the only reason I am playing with this projector is bcos it came with the house I bought about 3 months ago,the projector worked for about 10hrs then sh*t itself.hi Barclay I have removed the gamma x altogether and still have same problem am goin to go make a cable right now for the port 3 and c how that goes.i got the pin out of this website will try that have to go back to work tomoro have been on this thing my whole break lol am just about done with it hehe

Take a computer monitor and plug it into the output of the Fury/GammaX. That will show if the Fury/gamma works or not.

yep just tried that hooked the fury with gamma x to a monitor from my hdmi port on my laptop and it works but then I plug it into the projector with a hdmi lead from dvd player and I get a bad signal and projector will hardly recognise it
