Or a service manual

Hi,

There is none. At least it's not publicly available. The LVPS and HVPS came from third party suppliers and weren't developed by Ehome/Christie/VDC. They only were built according to their specs. Therefore You would be needing the test rig, the second unit for reference and an extensive knowledge about switch-mode supplies.
Sorry for not having better news for You...

Regards,
barclay666

My Ecp is the same way(having to replace the high voltage power supply soon due to a leak in the power supply)

I noticed there was no service manual on curts site either so if he don't have one then they didn't want many people to work on them(which is a dumb move on they're part)

opposite of dumb. if i was making complex machinery that cost 20 000 or more new, i would not want any diy guy to start repairing them; for their sake and for the moneys sake. i would sell the parts at a premium (customers like nasa or boieng dont complain about expensive parts) and i would not want the liability if someone got hurt trying to repair something but didnt know what theyre doing.

I wasn't referring to cost of parts(consumer tvs was the same way for many brands(and still is) you are correct about not wanting just anybody working on them but what about the service guys who work for them so they had to release something about the sets somewhere for the service techs

Guys

Electrohome built their projectors around board swapping for diagnosis and repair. They never provided schematics for power supplies.

Tim my ecp service manual will prove you wrong on the board swapping thing as it has diagrams for pretty much each board in the set but not for either power supply(it has a diagram for the power entry module) but board swapping is the only way to find the culprit board should one fail(I have been tracking a issue I have been having with my ecp for the past two weeks and I am starting to think its because of the high voltage power supply failing(convergence drifts while its in use on the blue tube but not on the red tube I know it weird but I have tried both spare boards with no fix so waiting on the replacment high voltage power supply to get here(USPS is be a snail lately))

Thanks
I hope I can keep my little Ecp going as long as I can but if something major fails (eg lvps) I will most likely part it out but I hope that day doesn't come anytime soon
I hope you get your cheap marquee going(that was a steal of a deal you got)

TV/Projector: All of them!

Sweet! Don't be surprised if the set has low hours. Years ago I purchased 12 Ampro 2000s. THey were all under 2" of dust, and looked like crap, but all of them were 0 hour units that were bought at $12K each, and then never used. I think I paid $50 each and sold them for $600 or so each back in the day...

Even when I'm not conversing in my native language I can be a spelling nazi! Razz

At least it's better with a Barco; you can learn quite a bit from their SMPS and the service manual.
