Not true, I have a 9500LC Retro III.

Ok, that's indeed nice, but this immersa desk used a 8" AC.

Barco Retro Graphics 808s
Ampro Retro 3600
Ampro Widescreen Retro 3600

All of these used a sort of P16 high resolution tubes, coupled with HD117 lenses which are also very high performance lenses compared to HD8 (but they have short throw), so when we talk about spot size, yes, these mentioned pjs probably all better (in bandwidth probably not, but that is less important), so for that particular setup I think they are better, but you barely pull out those pjs out of the chassis for custom use, while the marquee is more usable in this case if you pull out from that structure, and use it alone. That's all what I was to say.

The immersa desk brochure reported 1280x1024 resolution as typical, but not sure what resolution was suggested for 3D.

Guys

You are missing the entire point----Immersa DESK----the screen is on a 45 degree slant like a drafting table, never intended for anything but 3D stuff.

Exactly. This isn't an RPTV at all; it's a design and visualization tool. People working on architecture, engineering, biomedical, etc. could load their 3D models into this, wear shutter glasses, then use a stick to "fly" around, or inside their models to visualize it in a manner that's much different from viewing it on a computer display. It's much more immersive, which gives the viewer(s) a sense of space, scale, relationships, etc... It was essentially a smaller, lighter, portable, less expensive version of a "VR cave" (google it).

There is links to pictures of them in this thread.

I have washed arcade and console game boards in the dish washer and dried before testing and never done any damage yet, not that im suggesting you try it without someone else in the know also suggesting it is safe.

The CLM has a lithium battery on it, so that should be avoided from soaking.

i would be carefull with the CLM, and HDM.

focus convergence, VIM, motherboard, LVPS, HVPS and vertical board can be washed in isopropyl alcohol, or something like that.. scrubbed with a soft toothbrush, flush it a few times with alco when scrubbed, and blow it dry with some compressed air, but not the spray stuff.

Scott said they used to wash boards in the dishwasher as well.

I used a cleaner with dishwashing liquid, alcohol and water. I would then dry them and use compressed air to blow out any remaining water.

I also blow them off with the compressor as a rule. The dishwasher brings the boards up like new in most cases.

Use a long extention lead when you turn it on and stand back, incase it explodes in flames.... Laughing

Youd think that was a dead issue, but i test emergency lighting ive repaired that way now...
