So it's in the van now ( had to pull it from the imersadesk) turns out its an 8110??? They any good?

Yes they are! The 8110 is basically a Marquee 8500 Ultra only without astigmatism (but you can add that later if you want), the scan rate is limited from to about 110kHz (what a pity Very Happy). Actually on 8110 it seems it is more common to have the glorious 03p VIM, and 6 pole CPC magnets.
Put you color filtered HD145s on it and it is ready for a great picture (assuming the tubes are good of course Smile)

What are you upgrading from?

Im not sure whats involved in making it a 9" machine, but its probably possible without too much drama.

With adaptor plates you can move the Cine7 HD145 lenses to the marquee.

Just clean up all contacts of all board and remove all socketed chips and clean those contacts as well.

Use Caig DeOxit for the contacts but before use Denatured Alcohol and a soft tooth brush to clean, in entirety, all boards.

For an Aussie dollar, it is great. As for the pj itself, what year is it and what do the tubes look like?

There is moisture in the hv leads so I might need a new set of those and maybe afew nuts / bolts screws and paint Smile I have a spare set of hd145's coming too so I'll be looking for adapters very soon I'll pop up plenty of pics to get your input on stuff

Nice..

Rip it apart, clean it good, conectors boards, and see if you gently can get those lenses cleaned without scratching them.

Dont worry its easy machine to work on, and all conectors and boards are marked.

Lets see some pics of the boards when you get them out. Thumbs Up

This is indeed an interesting piece of equipment as a whole mostly because the tracking abilities, but just for an RP setup it sucks, as Barco and even Ampro offered better RP sets as they were LC and with high resolution tubes. I don't want to bantering on the marquee (this time Twisted Evil) but in this setup it can't reach its full potential.
