Ok, I have another question...
I'm displaying 1280x720p right now..
I was able to play a movie last night (colors still waaay off).
I noticed there is a red light on.
You can see the red LED in this picture of the Horizontal Output Board:

Thoughts?

haha, thanks for the contribution. I got this system free off craigslist - I'll put anything else up to replace it so long as it's relatively the same price

Ignore the red light. If you get a pictrure, the H and V boards are fine.

Ok, so what's the problem with my display then?
I've posted those pics of the tops of the red and blue curving upwards on opposite sides and the Horizontal linearity is whack. Vert Linearity is easily adjusted to look correct however the H is not so good.
I've tried moving the picture from side to side but it's not helping with that.
Do you still think a board replacement will fix this?

I've gone through the setup manual twice now and I cannot get the red and blue to first off form the proper shape, second squeeze down to the proper size - all though I think the first issue, if resolved would solve the second issue.
Also, the width of the screen is still too far beyond the sides of the tube. When I play a movie the sides are off the edge of the screen but when I shrink the screen the picture with either master H-size trimpot or electronic H-size on the remote it bunches everything up to the point where it looks just terrible.
The test pattern boxes look smaller on the left side and at first I thought it was keystone effect but when i brought the edge forward it really messed up the image.
The cross hatch on the top left never matches with the two colors if I align from the center. If I align on the crosses the right side is really out of alignment.
Can you think of a single trimpot or electronic setting that could throw the picture off that far? Everything I've adjusted hasn't come close to bringing it back into alignment.
I'll buy a board if you think that's what is causing the issue.
PM me if you think that will resolve the issue with payment details.

Given that it`s a 22 year old set, all I can do is guess what the problem is. Either you may have more than one problem in the set, or one board is causing several issues, or someone has dumped some bad parts into the set, which is common for a set that`s been used as parts. Anyone with a multi projector setup like a planetarium would have a parts set. I`ve had some of those in, and they`re a pain to get going. Still, since you have a pix, I`d say you`re 90% of the way there.
Shoot me an email at curtpalme at shaw.ca and we can talk price, etc.
thanks!
