I saw it this past Saturday in IMAX 3-D. I'm not generally a fan of 3-D but my friend was so adamant about seeing it in IMAX that I agreed to go along. From a presentation stand point, this was a significantly better experience than watching Prometheus and Avengers last Summer (last 3-D films I have seen). As with all 3-D, the image is darker but thankfully this time around there was no pixelation. Scene's with a white or very light colored background (sky for example) showed serious streaking. Hard to tell if this a screen issue or projector/format problem but I found it to be rather distracting. Compared to films like Prometheus, Avengers and Avatar it seemed that every single frame was 3-D, so if 3-D is your thing you will likely enjoy this.

The sound is what really made the experience memorable for me. The surround mixing was first rate and the bass was over the top. Some scenes were even a little too loud but there are few theaters I have been in that could match the overall quality/envelopment of the sound field.

As for the story I won't provide any spoilers. Much like the 2009 reboot, this film cleverly merges nostalgia with modern action. If you liked the reboot you won't be disappointed Wink

That's good to know, I haven't seen it yet, I want to. I probably should before it gets out of theaters or I wont be seeing it in 3D.

Thanks for the un-spoiled review Very Happy
