A friend of mine having problem with his zenith pro900x projector. It starts up, but don't project anything (not even the menu), and the V deflection LED remains off at the back of the machine. I read in the model specific section that most likely the input board is the culprit, and I have that board here with me, I only inspected visually yet, but there is no any visual sign of the problem. I also downloaded the service manual from this site, but it lacks the actual schematic diagrams (only block diagrams, and circuit description there). Can anybody help where to start?

A V failure is actually pretty rare on those sets, it's almost always the H section that has issues. Still, you're right, it's the V deflection board if there's no deflection LED on. It's either going to be the RGB input board that drives the V board, the V board itself, or one of the power supply rails that drives the V section.
I do have all of these boards that I'd sell cheap at this point. I can't assist further with the troubleshooting, sorry!
Figure $300 or so for the RGB and V board incl shipping?
