A C-Element broke and all the Glycol flowed in the CRT Projector.

Total loss?

Especially if it was ceiling mounted. Otherwise it could need some more maintenance...

If it was ceiling mounted, non of the boards should have been "affected"

Hello

Don't pull it down or flip it over if it is on a ceiling. Start with removing the leaky tube and mop up any glycol you see. I have never heard of a c element cracking, was it the bellows?

Guys

Maybe it is the tube face and he cannot tell the difference. We need pictures! Get all the glycol off with paper towels then wash any circuit boards with distilled water and dry them with a hair dryer. Glycol is very corrosive if it sits long enough, but it is water soluble. Others have reported good results with running circuit boards thru a dishwasher, no soap please.

Also, check the other tubes by pressing a fingertip against the bellows rubber; if it is hard then some glycol must be vented out or there will be more leaking problems.

My money is on a broken tube behind the c-element. Oh ya, I've seen that before and I got pictures here to prove it.
