I also had another question. when you project the g90 on a mirror and then to the screen will the wear pattern be different then say a standard front install . I know theres a lot of veriencs just want an idea what to expect.

One is 110/220 volt, one is 220v, and another is 110v. It's irrelevant though because you will only find the 110/220 volt model.

I'm pretty sure if you use a little THC, you won't need new tubes.

BTW, post a pix of your tube wear. I'm dumping a pile of tubes including lightly worn greens for the 9" sets. Maybe mine will be less worn than yours...

Well I'd love too post them right now, but I have to wait till next month to go pick It up. I'll give you full report on It then.
But by the sounds of It ,the wear might be bad. I mean It's not like you could use some rubbing compound to get It to blend in the wear pattern.....

He probably meant "TLC" (Tender Loving Care), but this crowd is just as likely to prescribe a little thc

Well I got the sony monster home. Now I know why they put so many handles on It. It must of took four grown china men to pack it around. :
It took me my wife and daughter and my son to get It In the house.
But I truly have to say. What a buitiful machine.
When I was at my dads I Grounded myself and started dismanuling . HD 10F lens look awsume. The red and blue tube face have just the tinyest hint of wear and the green looks to be about a seven or a eight with a 16x9 wear pattern.
Not bad for only having 3200 hours. Maybe this is why they were wanting to have It retubed...
It's a Nov 2000 with 1.11 ver. bios
I pulled the YA Board and the dallas chip is Ds1245Y-120 NONYOLATICE SRAM 0032H 119984 Philippines
Not sure If this is a bad chip ,If It's been replaced,But I think when I can I will replace It anyway.
You Know what they say a fool and his money are soon parted
I just love how your kids adjust your quoits as they get older.
My daughter says No dad It's: A FOOL and His MONEY are My Kind of Date!
Ran It with a hd Game box to see If It works and wammmoooo , works great...
Now I just need to get a Moome card to get that amazing picture quality out of It.

Thanks , will doo
Still running My NEC XG852 When I ran the G90. The image quality wasn't even close, to the nec.
No brannier at this point. Dallas chip, moome card ,and then figure out If the ceiling of my mobile home will tolerate, 250 lbs hanging up there. I wouldn't do that in california
I figured I waited this long ,to step up to a 9" set , I can wait a little longer.
Besides I just rolled the timer over on the nec, still a buitiful image...............
ahhhhh CRT LOVE

Meaning what, the NEC was better? It had BETTER be worse than the G90, or I'll have to come down and take that G90 from you. (coming down to Portland on Friday...)
