Is there anything wrong with shifting the raster up towards the top of the tube electronically on a Barco Graphics 808 to move the 16x9 projected image down? I intentionally installed the projector close to my ceiling using the maximum projector tilt to make the projector less noticeable....which is impossible when the projector is the size of a pig...but nevertheless.
I can live the the raster centered vertically, but moving the raster up (to move the image down) would be more desirable from a viewing standpoint.
Just curious, if this can cause faster burn in or anything negative? The only negative I can think of is that the image quality could be slightly degraded if you start to shifting your image towards the corners of the lens. The typical rule always suggest centering the image, but I'm guessing that is more important on a 4:3 image. In this instance by the time you max the raster width horizontally it will be max'd vertically almost as well.

Youll get better corner astig if you center it, further you go to tube face corners the less ability you have for perfect beam focus. And again in some cases for lens focus, they generally have better ability the closer to center you get.
