The lenses alone were worth the drive... but you got a whole projector in good shape with low hours.

You stole it!

Trust me i will.. Its going to please me for many years.

Its nice to get a CRT back on the screen..

And this one dont have the light banding like my other 9500LC.. So i think i better put that new red C element you sold me in this one..

Yep same as mine. The only bad thing with that board is if you want correct color balance you have to stick
with one resolution or with in a small range pixel clock.

So use you radiance to run the same output for all sources.

the plan was to ship this VIM with 3 neck boards and a moome V3 to MP to get the latest mods.

But untill then ill slowly look at other mods i can do myself. Just put the ground conection on the convergence board.. WOW.. thats easy cheep and amasing upgrade.. Thumbs Up

And i also removed L400 L410 L420 on the HDM, and that was a visible improvement of the left side ringing.

Not sure why, but for sure this ULTRA machine is not up to the task competing with my old non ultra when comes to resolving the image, and there was much more noise in the picture, my non ultra is not moddet in any way besides changing a few caps on the VIM, and its that VIM im using in the ULTRA.

I also think the contrast is blooming quite early on the ULTRA.

Just use another one of your grey scale presets and make it into D65. When I want to run multiple resolutions on a Marquee I often do this.

So you have your 6500k preset, but you also have a 3000k something, a 9000k something, and a custom. Just make them all 6500k and assign them each to their respective scan rate.

This is my biggest complaint with Marquee; that the resolving power varies tremendiously from machine to machine. When I roll up to calibrate a Marqueee I never know what I'm going to get out of it. I just did an 8500 Longbow that had no trouble running full 1080p 72Hz with the contrast at 75. I've had plenty of 9500's that couldn't fully resolve 1080p 60Hz and that would bloom at 60 on the contrast.

It can be frustrating.

Nice to know Craig.. thanks for sharing.. Never seen anyone writing about that.

Now i have 2 low hour 9500lc machines, so ill try change boards, and see if i can find out wich one make the change.

Is there any conection betwen ultra and non ultra, like the non ultra resolving better, or the other way around.?

Theoretically Ultra should always be better.
