I have a 1272 Sony ceiling mounted right now. 100" 4 x 3 screen
If I upgraded to say a G70 or G90. could I use the same mount & location the 1272 is at?

remounting would be a real pain.

Hello

Nine inch projectors typically have a seven to ten percent longer throw for a given screen width than seven or eight inch projectors.

I don't think I moved my G70 back that much from where my 1271 was. Maybe a few inches, if any. The G70 is a bit bigger, so I don't think so. I was pretty conservative on throw. My machine could have probably been 6 or 8" closer.

You can probably use the same mount point, but the mount for the 1271 and G70 are not compatible. The G70 is also a bit heavier.

The G90 is MUCH heavier, the throw is quite a bit longer, and uses yet another different mount.
