I had a bunch of broken Samsung 3D glasses left from my last lot purchase of 500 pieces. I finally went through them yesterday and used some of the scrap to make myself 13 more pair of working glasses. I decided to dump the rest of the junk. I can imagine the pickers eyes will be popping out at first when they open the lid to my garbage over the next few days...
I actually managed to make the lenses from the newer BT glasses work in the older IR glasses. They don't actually fit, but I found a way and they came out pretty solid. These will be good to have for cases when we have lost of guests over for 3D. I may have enough junk left to make two or three more pair so I’ll have about 25 for the theater.
