Hi,
because of major house renovation work, my Marquee 9500 was not powered for well over one year.
Now I wished to finish its installation, but got two little surprises:
- fungus on the green tube (see photo) : not a big issue, I already planned to change the glycol on the three tubes (also have to install a red C-element)
- retrace lines (and a vertical line when no video signal applied - see other photos) on the blue tube only : before I start swapping boards, I will appreciate any hints
BTW, despite precautions, the PJ got quite dusty, so I will dismount and clean it - maybe that will cure also the lines issue..
Cheers,
Pier

The dots on the blue looks like a CLM problem to me, try to reseat the ICs that are in sockets, that could help.

The Fungus could be a warning or more issues. Corroded Aluminum. I say this because its very black, which means the aluminum is being eaten away. So you might have to remove the bellows and paint the housings with Epoxy paint( VHT brand).
Also I agree with gjaky about the CLM and DPB chips. After a long storage you should clean all contacts of the boards and any daughter boards and their removable chips. Use DeOxiut and then DeOxit preservative or Stabilant22.
While the boards are out also clean the entire board first with denatured alcohol and a soft tooth brush. Use it liberally.

looks like a grounding issue on blue, see if the connector on the vim makes proper ground (cracked solder perhaps) and make sure the connection on the neckboard isn`t oxydized and is firmly attached.

Thanks for all the advices.
For a quick check, I swapped the CLM with a spare one, but lines were still visible. I will now check the cable VIM to blue neckboard, as advised.
The fungus in the green chamber is indeed the bad news - I will have to use my last spare bellow to fix that. AFAIK, when you open the chamber the bellow gets always damaged. By the way, I have this glue (RTV black instant gasket) for the bellow and C-elements. I think it should be ok, if not a bit of an overkill.

I am not sure, but I think the Nashou bellows not requiring the RTV glue between the chamber and bellow, at least we didn't applied any, and had no leak so far, so then you could remove the bellow anytime without hurting it.

I've changed about 6 bellows so far and no, I don't use any RTV, as it's too easy to damage the C element when taking them out down the road. I want to try putting on a thin film of Vaseline between the back of the C element and the bellows to see if in 2-3 years, it's easy to pop out the C element. I'll try that the next time I replace one and will post if it leaks. I can't see that it will.

put the rca cable from green on the blue neckbard and if that doesn`t help swap green and blue neckboards.
